Description

This is the start of a new std mojworld file that Im creating. Im not sure where it will end or even what the end result will be like but heres a first shot from the developping planet file. The moon used is Octaganoids-Promordia & the camera FOV is at 58º so the moon must have heavy displacements giving it that off spherical feel. If you have any ideas or comments on what you`d like to see added, then please drop it into your comments. Always welcome constructive criticism, so thanks for viewing , FSV recommeneded. TFV&C Wºz™

Salt, Snow, Sand? - That large of a moon about a planet would create a pull beyond normal tides - perhaps the very ground is pulled and moved because of it or strong Wind storms. Very hard and sculpted structures would work as you show here. - these are just some guesses. Close to the sun or far away - might make a big difference. Think of a sand/salt that is loose enough to flow at the surface. Is the majority of the atmosphere intact or been ripped away...

Good start! My own opinion is that I don't like big moons, in general. My only criticism is that the ambient light is too dark - a very common occurrence in this gallery. (Doc Mojo once remarked in Vox that, "ambient light color plus sunlight color should equal '1'". Who am I to argue?)

Nice displacements. I have two suggestions. Try to subtly change the steps in the hillsides. It's rare to ever see these so regulated. Also make sure the scales don't get too big compared to planet size if you want things too look generally earth like scale. I try to keep these around earth type scales now otherwise you see too much planet curve.
