Description
Yule
this time of year in the Norse and some Keltic faiths celebrate on Dec 21st or the winter solstice. It is a time for giving thanks for the previous year's gifts from the Wyrd. Wyrd is the belief of a magick that binds us to the earth and others. At this time we give worship to the mothers and celebrate their contributions to our lives. We hold ritual and pass the horn of mead around hailing them. Where in we write wishes for the next coming year on parchment and place them in a wood wreath, and at the end of the ritual we place that wreath on the need fire, symbolizing the end of the ritual. We proceed to feast in their honor and offer plates of food, and keep passing around the horn of mead each time one of us pass a toast/hail to someone or to ancestors before we drink from the horn. After we are done eating we pass around a gift to all the member of the hearth and we open and share the gift of sharing with our friends and family.
this image represents my fiance and I , the love we share with each other. I hope that this gives you all a fond memory and the remembrance of the true nature of this holiday season. That its not about gifts and buying stuff, but to share your heart and soul with your family, boyfriend, girlfriend, and loved ones all around.
I wish for all of you to have a safe and loved filled holiday season
love and hugs

That is a great pic... Kind of how I feel about my wife and myself... Heh, I just feel more like a troll than anything as noble as a wolf...

Wonderful image! This time of year really is not about commercialism, but is about the giving and sharing of oneself with family and those we love.
