Description

There is a funny little story that goes along with Bud the Bug. This morning I woke up and my throat had this tickle, and I started to cough. All of a sudden, out of my throat flew this thing. I screamed. My friend rushed in, with a camera already in hand, because she always does whenever I scream... She is a horrible person. And this is the picture of it on my bedsheats. No, that didn't really happen. This is what happened. My friend is in the process of cleaning out her shed. So, I went in, and grabbed a box for her. I do this about two to three times a week, grab a box, and clean it out, figuring out what to get rid of and what to keep. Well, it is winter and we have been having some problems so one box has been in the house, waiting to be cleaned out for about two weeks. I was messing around with some pictures on the computer when I heard a scream coming from the other room. I went to see what it was, and my friend was looking at something in the box. I was afraid that it was a dead mouse or something. It turned out to be an insect. I don't have a clue as to what kind of bug it is, but it has so far survived the winter by being in the house during the coldest days. Now I have it in a container, trying to figure out just what Bud eats. So far, he doesn't eat anything. I really want to keep it alive, maybe make it a pet for my friend's kids, so if any of you know what this type of bug is, or what it eats, let me know.

You've got me on what kind of bug it is, but at least you didn't swallow it! (oh, that just sounds wrong....) There are some good websites on insects that you may want to check to find out what Bud is. They may help you out.
