I will be a smartass and post the definition of beauty. the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest). However, I will add my own definition. I don't think that beauty is so much of a quality, as it is the way that one perceives something. The way that the eye takes it in. In a certain light, one thing might look ugly, but if you change the light one might think it is beautiful. Beauty is forever changing. Kudos

This is one of my very favorites and always will be. And the question, the forever question of "what is beautiful?" will always have to be answered, "it is in the eye of the beholder" and that is the truth. Beauty is subjective; there is beauty in flowers, art, etc. But what might be beautiful to one person can be complete ugliness for another: there is sometimes beauty in death, which many would find offensive, or beauty in a truly ugly face that becomes lit with wonder. This conversation (or debate) will always go on, but in my mind everthing you do is beautiful...so I'm biased!

I see you've been busy while I was away...coughjessica_hogging _computercough lol All of the images are excellent, this one especially. A very gothic-like, horror filled image, but still beautiful. Perhaps it's the way the models glow, or maybe you can just see that they are beautiful people underneath. Maybe it's the colors and the contrast, or maybe I just have an odd sense of what beauty really is. You did a great job though, and you made think. :)

Said it before and I'll say it again, I just love the way the red stands out so well in this b&w image. 2 amazing looking women but I shudder to think what my Mum would have said if I'd have brought one of them home and introduced her as my latest girlfriend ...
