Description
Hi everyone. I started this image last winter, I actually used the couple in the sleigh figures in "Winter Snowscape" which I rendered in Bryce in January.
I wanted to feature the couple more closely and played around unsuccessfully with snowy backdrops and even the Millenium Environment. But when I saw Transpond's Country Cottage Construction set, and RDNA Snow and Ice add on by Traveler, I knew I had found the perfect scene for the horse and sleigh.
Vintage sleigh is from DAZ, as is the 19th Century clothing for M3. V3's outfit is also from DAZ
Left it rendering overnight with the Lightdome Pro Cloudy Draft setting, only to discover that the horse's shoulder was poking through the harness and the reins didn't quite meet M3's hands.
So I had to do a little "fix-it" work. The rails of the sleigh don't quite line up with the ruts in the snow. I suppose I could try and move the road surface a fraction and let it re-render overnight again, and then re-do my "fix-up" work in PS. Naaaaaaaa... I don't think I'll do that. This will have to do.

I may not get another render posted before Christmas, so this can be my Christmas render.
I'll take the opportunity now to wish everyone a very wonderful Holiday Season.

Wow, very nice scene, Jayne. The fixes work fine, even in the large view, and you'd have to be a real Scrooge to be concerned with the the way with runners line up with the ruts. Great holiday image!!

well this is awesme,exceptinal!!!!!!!!! a favorite a 5++ and the lot(lol). Sorry to all the other great artists here,but this here is the best xmas scene i have seen so far this year,you all know that i am not a great xmas-doer but this scene is just about it. hopefully it is more winter than only xmas.
