Description

Yesterday morning at 5-45am we had the worst lightening storm, one like that I hadn't seen in years. Going to work in it was very scary, it was just strike and flash after flash. It lasted for about 1 hour and during that hour we had over a thousand strikes. But this was the sunset it brought at the close of our day. Was so pretty..... More storms on the way though, it's so hot and humid, you can just feel the electricity building in the air waiting to happen.

Oh Sue! This is stunning! Almost like a sun-flare! Did you get pictures of the storm?? Probably not, you were probably more focused on driving then taking pictures! Glad you made it to work safely!

I can imagine the intensity of strikes. When I was on vacation in Japan last year, it was just as you described. Almost as if there was no darkness at night when the multiple lightning had struck. Glad you are safe. Beautiful capture. Aloha
