hmmm...there are some subtle symmetries here, Emilio: the calendar peeking-out through two opposite corners (showing the days before & after Christmas!), two birds close to the two opposite corners (and white birds, as if they were birds of peace), two smooth green panels at top and bottom, etc. But you have a world in between these 'poles'...what struck me as soon as I saw this was the gorgeous use of paint throughout: I love your painterly sections: You apply them in prismatic streams, in other places like stone or plaster, while in others, like the peaks of topographical maps. When you delve into painterly textures in your collages, you create beautiful modulations and rivers, while your whites reach luminous peaks and your blues are like the ocean. This feels simpler than some of your recent work, yet emotionally quite beautiful. And it feels like an oil painting in many spots too (very oil-like and rich in impasto). Makes me want to see your physical painting...It's very beautiful, and a nice sendoff for a new & radiant year. All my best wishes to you too!
