Description

This one's for you, Denise~~~I know how you love fences. It's in Huntington Beach and is part of the fence that protects the Least Tern's nests. What's interesting is that it seems like it's almost for decorative purposes. There's another, far more serious chain link enclosure with razor wire on top that sits inside of this old wooden beauty.

Perfect song for this one, Cole Porter's "Don't Fence Me In." Super detail with light and shadow.

I agree with Richard, that is some serious picket fencing, you could tow a truck with that wire. Excellent capture Marylin, great lighting and I love those shadows. Bravo!!!!!

Very cool shot, pity it doesn't even show completely on my 1920 pixel screen, it still is a marvelous image anyway.

Needless to say, a marvelous display of undulating fence shadows depicted, along with the solid red fence, the scrub brush, and the debris, in this fine capture, M.

Cool! I wonder if this one is to keep marauding animals out? Like dogs and cats? Or wayward sealions? Maybe just to keep people from tromping through as a shortcut? I'd suggest it might be a dune barrier, but I don't think it really blows sand all that much in that area. Hmm. Now I'll have to ponder it.... Great capture of the shadow and slight meander in its line!
