Description

Since some weeks, here in the Netherlands there's a new prohibition law, on mushrooms. When they contain some hallucigenic stuff, and most of them do, it's forbidden to use, sell, buy, or possess them. Even your garden should be free of any mushroom which is on that long list, even very tiny ones. So there's a boom here in selling looking glasses and microscopes to detect them, especially in the front gardens. I'm just ready to remove all Turkey tails from old trees, they too are on the list. But it's always possible that I've forgotten one. So when you don't see any of my uploads anymore, probably I'm in jail. Our people always follow our democratic laws meekly, and that's a very good thing, but the mushrooms don't, they are revolting! Thanks for your views, comments and favs on Archimedes Garden (Did that old rascal cultivate trees or mushrooms?)

Geweldig Ed, en dan bedoel ik in eerste instantie het verhaaltje, maar...jouw schitterend plaatje doet het weer uitstekend. De gelijkenis met de beruchte boosdoeners is frappant.

Revolting mushrooms, I think I remember having some of those many years ago. Good luck staying out of jail, but what I want to know is do y'all have such a large police force that they can inspect all the gardens and woodlands to eradicate those nasty old mushrooms? I would think it'd be impossible, so you're probably pretty safe. We'll hope so, anyway, we would miss you.

excellent image with great likeness. You mention the turkey tail mushroom? Looking at your picture that must be the ones I am thinking of, growing on trees and difficult to spot because they look so much like tree bark... I feel a hint of rebelliousness towards that new law... so typical of the "Dutch". Hahahahah

Brilliant design. The colors, composition and textures are gorgeous. What a great title for this. Thanks for the explanation. I can't imagine needing to control nature like that. I hope the mushrooms win their battle. : )

That is some law! I'd say replace the dykes with walls, and everyone is safe - and the mushrooms happy. I'd say your lawmakers have been sampling too many.
