Description

Here is something unusual for me – a post of a photo that I actually took TODAY. Fresh and in season – can you believe it? Something else unusual for me – I also used a tripod (!) Captured this one with my Olympus E1 and 70-140mm lens. I also broke out my FL50 flash with Lightsphere and amber colored cap. I then set my color balance to about 3600K to render the background blue and the flash did the rest to keep the subject warm in color. The Gary Fong Lightsphere is not necessary to do this, any ol’ amber colored filter or plastic over the flash will work fine (and much much more economically.) Most of the color was rendered in camera, I did have to tone down the amber color a touch in postwork as it was way too intense and I also removed some of the digital noise using Imagenomics Noiseware pro plugin.
