The Su-27 has vectored thrust. The first footage we saw of the 'Cobra Dance', a maneuver where the aircraft changes the flight direction suddenly by pointing the nose vertically before it is dropped back to the original attitude, two things went through our minds. 1) Stress on the airframe and 2) stress on the pilot.
Vectured thrusts enables aircraft to perform maneuvers previously impossible.
This aircraft was photographed at the Berlin-Schoenefeld Airshow in Mai 1998 and later scanned.
