Been doing this over a year now and I'm still not quite sure how to define it. Is it art or not? Can we be said to be really creating our images, given that we're using computer programs and models made by others? And, for that matter, what is its official title? Personally I call my work "using Daz Studio because of a total inability to draw or paint." It doesn't exactly trip off the tongue. I suppose it doesn't matter in the end. As PG Wodehouse said, it makes me happy and keeps me out of public houses.
My main influences are Manet, Edward Hopper, Caravaggio and Pieter Bruegel. The first two gave me an interest in realism, the third created an addiction to light and shade, and the last nurtured my overall misanthropy.

Why Is This Here?
All my renders are there, including the ones I hate. There's also a rag-bag of assorted writings and photos.
I've also recently started a blog about this whole business:

Thanks to everyone who's submitted Free Stuff to this site - especially some of the wonderful Vicky textures. Sorry to anyone who I don't credit. It's down to the disorganisation of my hard drive rather than an evil heart.

Andrew this one is truly a classic and resembles what ususally happens for most of us despite our best laid plans.

Love all the happenings around the table! suggestion though you might want to try some softer lighing sets the shadows are rather harsh and detract from the ambience! just a suggestion

Great job on the poses and particularly the interactions between the characters. I agree with cvrad that the shadows look very dark and harsh. Still, you captured the hectic atmosphere quite well!

Fantastic scene again! The expressions are spot on and the scene feels alive :) I love it!! The lighting is a little hard with the shadows, maybe the use of a spotlight or 2 may have been better :D The best thing I find is experimenting with several lighting sets or making up my own ;) I think you done amazingly well with this scene x
