To Look Inside
I lift my heart
up to thee Spirit
and know that thou art near.
Carry me to the land
of everlasting dreams
so that I might know bliss.
Surely I will wake
from my dream
of splendor and know no fear.
I have searched the
oceans wide
and then turned inward
to look inside.
Oh, would that I
could but for a brief
moment of time tarry.
Why is this burden I hold
deep inside
so heavy to carry?
There is hope for me
in the beyond
for it is my future
of which I'm so fond.
Send me an angel to
harold me along the way
for it is in this future
time I wish to play.
The sun rises directly
over my heart.
From time eternity
I shall not part.
But alas I must wake
from this splendid dream.
Good fortune tells I have another
adventure to scheme.
I shall bring the dreams
of my slumber
into my waking world down under.
No longer shall I flee from
the world as it is.
I shall turn it into a giant glass
of champagne with a fizz.
In all the world there is
on one better than me.
I shall fill my heart
with dreams that shall set me free.
I shall live my life to the fullest...
each hour and every moment.
And in the end when it is all said
and done there will be no atonement.
I shall sing the praises of
the Self into my soul.
Oh, how can I be anything
other than whole?
I am magnificent... I am a wonder.
I am one of a kind.
In all the world there will be
no one like me to find.
I have the power.
I live in the hour.
I have the strength
to go that full length.
I am limitless, hear me roar.
I shall take to the sky and forever soar.
This is my power
and my triumphant song.
It is in the light I live
and where I belong.
