Watching you makes my heart stop
You are so soft
In everything you do
Your fingers are nimble
And tender
As you wash our daughter’s hair
Covered in water
And suds
Your day starts
From the moment she wakes
Until long after
She has gone to sleep
You wrap her in a towel
Kiss her little face
Carrie her off to bed
Every night you fold her little hands
And teach her how to pray
Because she is
The answer to your prayers
You turn out the light
Stand in the corner
And watch her for just a little while

To my prayers
These are the two girls in my life. The baby is now 19 and going to college and she is still my baby
