This is so interesting. I would say that when one places their hand on their head, they are trying to concentrate more. Perhaps these fellows are in deep thoughts. Marvelous work!

Wonderfully odd, yes, and like that these people may be in deep thought...It also feels like people caught in their own pretension and awkwardly grabbed by their own judgments. Feels very ironic...You use the old-print sepia very well, and though the images are soft, you have enough etch-like detail to remind us this is an image about old cultural habits (the turn-of-the-last-century dress helps a lot too...). And nice montage at the bottom: Your organic sense always comes through, it's always a fine presence in your work...
