Description

The shorelines of Mackenzie State Park offers a nice cliff fishing and camping area. The cliff is about 30 ft high. Family and friends would gather here, set their fishing poles and the rest is just waiting, food and drinking. Time goes by and its getting a little dark. One young man decides to jump in the waters. He gets in trouble trying to get back to shore with the rough surf. Friends tried frantically tossing him ropes and floatation. He drifted out into the darkness and was never found. They did find his torn shorts the next day with shark teeth marks. Rescuers did see a Great White Shark about 1/8 mile from the area he was last seen. An unfortunate weekend for all. Aloha and thank you for viewing

This is a wonderful shot. The colors are great. I guess those of us that have lived past 50 something have just been extremely fortunate to never be in the wrong place at the wrong time like this lad was. Very interesting posting! Bill

Ultra superb clarity, contrasts and DOF in this gorgeous capture, Shark! Unfortunate about the guy swept out to sea, and be done in by a Great White, suggestive of the movie, JAWS.
