Description

MojoWorld3pro/PS7/Paint.Net Made this Planet a couple days ago and it was so complex in Geometry it would have taken days to Render. So after much Trial and error since I have no clue what the hell I'm doing I ended up with this. Thanks for the Click

Some really nice formations in there :) Dont over complicate your early works...its a mistake I made when I first started out & I found great frustration with images that wanted to take days to render, whilst I now know that often strong impactful results can be achieved with simpler, less complex efforts. To give an example: I had worlds that I spent days rendering to get a lot of noisy displacements & displacement artefacts whilst I now have worlds that render fairly fast. Sometimes over complex can be good for close camera work, but if your at high altitudes & shooting...then its just a long render with no visual benefit. Also watchout for the render settings also. High Reflection, Refractive materials with lots of computation to get the fractal results will only add to the rendertimes especially if your using FULL shadows. Stick at it... I think you're doing great!! ( & I dont mean to sound condescending)... I look forward to seeing more of your works in mojo :)

Neat Mojo-scape and result after your tweaking, listen to Woz as he has been using Mojoworld for quite a while now and I can't give any advice as I still trying to find my way around this kool and complex program. ~Cheers~

I think your Roughness, and or Gain settings the fractals you use for terrain (or displacement) texture building are too high, which makes the parts of the terrain too noisy. Also in the Displacement textures always use the Small Feature Size higher then "0" (like if you have the Large Feature Size "1m" then may be set SFS to "0.1m" , etc) As for the render settings, if you use the True Shadows, turn them off. They just add a lot of time to render but don`t do it that much good.
