Description
First post for a long while. Life has been very hectic and hence the computer has really only been used for lesson prep, email and for my uni study. I must admit that Renderosity has taken a back seat.
My mother, who is 80, had a severe illness over the last 4 months, which resulted in her getting a pacemaker. Mother was taken to a hospital in Brisbane, which is our nearest capital city. Dad traveled up there with her. During that time, I was running the sheep property, teaching for Community College and doing my uni study while driving back and forwards to Brisbane, which is a 6 hour journey by car one way. Joy of living in rural Australia. Oh and most importantly spending time with family, our toddlers are now three and half and full of energy.
The really great news is that my mother is now back home on the property and is well on the way to recovery. So for anyone who asks me what I want for Christmas, my response is that I have my Mother for a few more years so I have got my Christmas present in full.
On the study front, I have now successfully completed 15 out of the 24 units for my Bachelor of Information Systems. (Almost completed second year) so hopefully this time next year, the brain hurt will be over. Completed my Information Security minor and most of my Human Resources Management minor. Currently doing another two units this study period. Must admit external study can be really hard to get motivated. Still have only failed one unit so far, so can’t complain.
For all those who have commented on my previous work, I will endeavor to look at your galleries and return the complement.
Have been looking at the Geek at Play Studio website at the VUE tutorials there and think I will invest in a couple of their DVDs.
Enjoy :)

The Stinger spacecraft is from Daz 3D. It was a free download last year, not sure if it is still a free download. This is a Poser model. Like in the “After the Sandstorm” image, I played with the advanced material editor to change the reflectivity and other options on the textures of the Stinger.

Very high level of detail- the rocks/mountains look completely realistic. The buildings in the background give a sense of scale- all in all a very cool scene! I would like to know how you got the sea foam where the water meets the land- I have never been successful with that in vue, despite trying a few tutorials and the manual.

Very nicely composed. The scene looks tranquil, calm before the storm? Glad to hear that things are working out for you, have a great Christmas!
