Description

from my upcoming terrain pack... i put a material on this one at least :) i really wanted to put a couple trees on this one but wanted you all to see what the terrain looks like. think i'll probably work on this one some more. also playing around with a standard atmosphere instead of a spectral for some reason, wanted to see how the fog controls work. got a lot of brightness behind i couldn't seem to get rid of, tho it sets the peak off well. not too bad, but i think i'll go back to spectral atmospheres. enjoy!

I am sure that I could enjoy a few pleasant hours here, my friend. Nice work. I am often surprised by how small the picture files are in JPG form, when I render in VUE, but how much detail there is apparent. Well done. I await your pack. Have a Happy, Peaceful, Joyful Christmas and plenty of jaw-dropping wonder, with perhaps a spot of slightly gentler Challenge in 2009... ;o) Warm regards, from a wet Glasgow, John.

i know, you can get a lot of detail using mixed materials with layers. most of my "material detail" is here obscured by fog, but i got a certain amount of contrast by light onto the terrain itself, which is what i wanted. hopefully vue 7 for next month? i'm intrigued by the water edges potentials. that would save a lot of work :) haha, we have snow here in oregon & -20 below (F) last night. there is worse than wet LOL. take care, john :)
