Description

Here's a simple classic composition: Green apples, a weathered silver bowl with a jingle bell. The perspective here is more or less at eye level. Three point lights, my usual recipe. Happy holidays everyone.

I confess I know nothing about the software (my knowledge extends very little beyond Photoshop, unfortunately!), but your work is not only very fine but inward, and both photo-like and painterly at the same time. The hues have a 17th-18th C. tinge; you silhouette the apples very sensitively (set off by not only your detailing on the bowl, but by its fine shadows & lights). Your wall has some wonderful splotches of decay such as wear in the paint and the things that visit walls and give them character (very sensitively rendered). And the jingle-bell is a little confection on the side; you do handle these minimal visions beautifully! Finely conceived, delicate and inward; making us want to go into the piece and stay there awhile. I'd love to see it wall size... Very fine; and thanks for coming to my gallery, it brought me to yours in turn...
