Description

Hi Friends I have captured this proud peacock on Saturday at the Johannesburg Zoo. I was using my 170-500mm lens hand held, so to get proper focus was quite tricky. Hope you like it... Thank you for all the well wishes with my tooth. I managed to see the dentist and I'm afraid it is an infection. She gave me antibiotics and very strong pain killers... So, I'll just have to endure for a couple of days. Thank you for your wonderful and much appreciated comments and favs on my "Three Trees" upload of last night. Stay safe. Hugs, Carin xx

Very pretty shot Carin. As for pain killers, I hope you are helping them out by gargling something distasteful like Listerine. No faster way to kill a sore throat or gum infection that I know of. Had my tonsils out as a kid and still got my wisdom teeth so know about both :).

How interesting - the tooth that is. I called today and will see the dentist tomorrow morning. I've had discomfort for the last year after some major work I had done and I think its either some nerve damage or pocket of infection up near the cheek bone. sigh... Your peacock is awesome. I have tried to get one in full fan before and they tend to quiver their tails so I haven ended up with more blur than feather. You really out-did yourself with this one.

I bought a photo frame this week and loaded on it is a shot of one of these magnificent beauties... anyway, your shot is better - more lively color and better compo. Its not the frame either... :-) Excellent work Carin!

Beautiful bird that the peacock. The orgueuil is of setting for him. I do not know if you saw stealing a peacock. It is immence and very impressing my Beautiful. Cheer and mile mercies.
