Hello, my name is Steve.
I have been studying and working with 3D modeling for a couple of years now and I also have been working with 2D graphics, computer programming, and web design.
I am originally from Philadelphia PA but in 1995 moved to Buffalo NY. I live with two cats. And I have a whole bunch of computers for my makeshift art studio.
I have always been interested in art. I do freehand art as well as computer art and you will see elements of this in my art that you will see here. I also like photography and music and I play keyboards. Some of my animations that I have done includes music that I play in the background.
My first experience with 3D modeling was with TrueSpace 4 which I got as a demo copy from a CD in a game programming book. At first, I was a little put off by it and I couldn't get the hang of the interface and how to move and position objects, but after a while of fooling around with it, I started to like it and eventually got a full working copy of TrueSpace 4.3. And as I got into it a bit more, I started to get other modelers as well.
I now have Carrara 3, Amapi 5, and also Poser 5 and I recently downloaded TrueSpace 7.6. I also took an interest in a few of the free ware modelers out there such as Blender and Art Of Illusion, but I dislike Blender. As time progresses you will be seeing work in all of these except Blender.
My interests are in digital art, 3D modeling, and animation, and I am in the process of creating my own website which will feature my artwork and some interactive exhibits including a virtual art gallery, and other virtual interactive works of art, and there will also be animations, audio, and video.
My website is www.stevenswitzersuniverse.com and right now, I have only one page, but I have an animation which I created in Poser 5, which announces the coming and construction of my website. You will meet my Poser 5 character Yoshi N.
The character that I use as my virtual image is called Dr. Zool. I created him in Poser 5. He looks nothing like me.
Well, that is it for now. Enjoy my artwork.

I like this reminds me of school. Ic an almost smell it.

Ahh...the wonderful smell of deodorant, smelly socks, the must and mildew, old sneakers, rubber from sneakers and basketballs, mixed with the rank smell of stale sweat and body odor -- especially feet and underarms, creams, lotions...a typical locker room.

You know, I've seen a lot of renders with locker room sets. But I can honestly say that this is the only one that doesn't look cheap and cheesy. Great job!

Thanks for the comment. I rendered this scene with a multiple lights, each one approximating where the lights would be in the ceiling. I was rather impressed with the render myself because it does seem to have some sense of depth and realism to it. That is why I decided to share it.
