Description

More 54 mm figurines photographed in natural light. This is a 35 mm color slide scanned in and cleaned up in Corel PP9 DCE. The original scanned image is 2217 x 1554. This image was cut by about 50%. The figures are from four different Phoenix Model Development sets and from two very different lines. The regal lady, the muscley dude, and the throne are from three different sets in the Atlantis series. The two figure with their backs to you are from the Lindisfarne series. Mixing and matching like this is great fun to see what situations develop. Is the big guy is presenting a captive to the Atlanteans, but what is her story? Was she kidnapped on their orders? Is she from a rival kingdom and being presented to win favor with the Atlanteans? They seem to know her and have some disdane for her. Because she is an enemy or clumsy enough to have fallen into this situation to be ransomed? Stay tuned for other angles of this vignette. Overall the image was treated to the 'stone' texture in its large size to minimize the granularity effect in the present image. Next a black oval vignette was used to darken the corners a bit. Finally, some of the queen's jewelry (she is described as Queen of Atlantis) was given a little extra sparkle: Head piece, armlets, skirt button at the hip.
