To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

a soft quiet vision, mina, with a sense of the written word and of passage-of-time, and one of your palettes which feel as if it came out in a single motion of the hands & eyes...I like the organic forms next to her, and your silken layers around her face; and the writing not only suggests the literary roots she's been in & out of, but of the yearning for her home (as in Daphis & Chloe)...a muted & gently passionate image for the solstice and season, and quietly touching. The hot cocoa and treats at the bottom of your image (in the caption area) is certainly a wonderful treat to come back to; after the marvellous journey of illusions you send your viewers on when "entering" and beholding your artwork. I am totally in a state of trance when I look at your image(s) and there are always so many different reflections and faces that I see within one larger one. I see a multitude of faces and expressions within the larger one, even in this particularly fragmented one. You create this world so skilfully and masterfully that is simply, just an outrageous wonder to me, my Dear Mina. Wonderful, wonderful artwork!
