Description

One of my personal faves. This was shot in Italy in 1978 while I was working with the Living Theatre. One of our shows involved going into mental asylums and having the inmates participate in theatre games, then taking them out of the locked wards and through the streets of the town. These three poor doctors were watching the action from the inside, obviously not pleased with the extra work we were certainly going to cause them...

I'm having some trouble displaying the comments so I will post them here: This was shot in Italy in 1978 while I was working with the Living Theatre. One of our street pieces involved going into mental asylums (manicomi) and engaging the inmates in theatre games, and then taking them out of the locked wards for a stroll around the town. These three attendants were watching the action from inside, obviously not pleased with the extra work we were certainly causing them...
