Good light and pose. Very good scene. Well done.

Wonderful story and excellent image to go with it.
DreamRage
Great posing work although the one to the rightpeeks a bit through the table...good POV...Happy Holidays to you and your beloved ones!

Good eye, DreamRage. :) And you're right. I think this piece will be more effective if I have Pittakos stand up and lean over the table instead. Considering the topic of the story, putting his hand on top as well would be a very effective use of symbolism. Thanks for letting me roll this by you! I can always count on you guys for great comments.

Happy Holidays to all of you!

Great story and historical scene!

Story is entrapping; I'm hooked. Love the setting, clothes (armor, etc), the kylixes, but I have a problem with the lamp/candle holders. In these times, the "jars" should be clay (I know you know this). Having said that, the flame reflection on the table looks like the jars are glass, not clay, thus the transparency. Shouldn't be too hard to correct to keep the vision clear. Hope your Holidays were splendid.

Chuckle! Hey! I've only been doing this for a little under two years! I've still got a lot to learn. XD

Actually those are cattle horn jars. I checked the object file in my Props folder; I've seen horn candles in real life and they do glow that way. But, you're right--we don't have any real indicators that the Greeks ever used horn jar candles, though it is entirely possible. I would REALLY have liked to find one of those little clay lamps they used to use in those days, with oil and a wick. Looked a lot like Aladdin's Lamp, hence the name. If I can find a clay lamp I like, I'll use my light sets to create my own lamp prop. Thanks as always for the suggestions toward better realism!
