Description

Hi Friends I have a thing about dead trees. They just hold some kind of magic to me. Sometimes the branches reaching in every direction have a loneliness and desperation in them and sometimes I see them rejoice. A bit deep for this time of year I know, but I see them like that all year round. *smiles* Captured this image in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve here in South Africa. Nonpareil mood effects and silhouetting in this stark composition, Carin. Is that the river, Styx? I also have a thing about dead trees because they seem to represent evil and wickedness. I have figuratively tons/tonnes of shots of them vegetating in my hard drive, which I should begin posting on RR before I run out of my days on this planet.

Wonderful picture! I like trees too. When I go for drives I point them out to my husband all the time. Some seem to have their own personalities, as strange as that may sound. I love seeing the pictures from Africa. Thanks for always sharing such great pics.

Love it Carin! .. this looks a lot like a place not far from here; in fact, I have it in my gallery somewhere.. from last summer I think. Just a large duck pond type place with dead trees there.. I added a moon in mine :)

What a trip.... I posted one not long ago with a similar title and reflecting dead branch, but I posted mine in B&W! Very cool!!! I like dead trees too, they make very interesting subject matter!!! Marry Christmas!!!
