Ohhhhh!!! My folder is finally starting to look a little bare! I may actually get everything out by New Years! Whoo Hoo!
This is another shot that I posted one similar back then and stuck this one in the hold folder to be forgotten. Although it wasn't totally forgotten, as this was one picture that was picked for our local calendar! I wish I could send you all one of our calendars, there are many a great shot that have not made it to RR yet! Maybe in a few more years.....! LOL :P

close to where I live near a rail line there were at 50 of them.every time I tried to take a picture the wind was blowing hard. looks like you caught these dead still

An excellent capture! The colours are fantastic and are magnificently contrasted with the subtle and most delicate background... the candid little fella that seems to be trying to hide in the back of one of the thistles is ever so cute, and seems like he just belongs in the image... :) Hope your day is going well... and looking forward to viewing all your artistic and lovely compositions posted at RR! :)

I'm nearly out of shots in my files and wondering what comes next. Not much to shoot that I haven't done a thousand times and I don't see myself getting out of the house much for the next couple months. Phooey. I love thistles and you've really done well here with the rule of 3. Stunning shot.
