Description
Durin's Bane, the Balrog of Moria, in its fiery lair deep underground. This is a slightly older render, being the first LOTR render I did, and I've been waiting to upload it on a day when I didn't feel like making anything new.
Hopefully, I'll soon have this guy facing off against Gandalf at the Bridge of Khazad-dum - my favorite moment in FOTR :) .
Rendered in D|S, mane of fire added in Photoshop CS3.

Nice render, very moody lighting. I would say the character tends to blend into the background, which is a shame. Kinda makes it hard to see what's going on. Other than that, good composition, nice colours!
