Description
Sure he could account for getting lost on the way to the party. A simple missed turn had put him on an unpaved road out in the middle of no where...and with no GPS....well, it didn't take much to get lost.
Sure, too, he could explain his tardiness to the gathering -- both getting waylaid by his missed turn and not knowing the area.
But there would be two things he could never possibly hope to account for: The sudden swift snowfall that blanketed the woods with a gentle dusting of delicate flakes. And the beautiful Goddess that had appeared to him out of a swirl of snow.
He did, finally, make it to the party, however, his car dusted with snow and his elegant tailcoat damp at the shoulder and around his collar from melted snow. A shimmering pin, left on is lapel, a glimmering, shimmering ornament of glowing sliver-white lace.
A gift of the snow pale Goddess whom had shown him the path through the night and with whom he shared a tender and intimate kiss not moments before...
The memory of Wynter's kiss would live with him all the rest his days.

I think he's getting his story mixed up... I think he's already been to the party... someone slipped something in his drink and he is imagining Leonard Nimoy's sister making a move on him - I hope he's still not driving while having this illusion - lol ...winter kiss?
