Description

This is also an older image, i created some years ago. but i never could leave my hands off it. so i always did some post work on it, and it could be, that i overdone it a bit. i appreciate any critique! it is completely done in 3dsmax, with standard lighting solutions. no mental ray or advanced lighting. textures and models are all done by me. the normalmaps were done with nvidia photoshop plugin. so no sculpting in here. i hope you like it. the next days will come some newer images.

This is a very realistic image, my friend. You have taken great care over it. The lighting is just superb. I can about hear the buzz of flies, and smell the warm, leaf mold smell in the air.. Warm regards, as the Feast of the God-Child approaches, John.

Really beautiful, you've some great modeling and texturing, not to mention a beautiful render. I'm confused with the leaning snag to the right, it seems to disappear when it seems like it should stick out past the other trees. Probably just the angle. Awesome image!

hi orinoor, yes you are right, it is like that, because i modeled it by(or from? whats right) a photo reference. see it here http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/i9cruzzAcRsf6uAwFIyCUg?authkey=WMds_Cdr2iY&feat=directlink i also think for the cg pic, the fallen tree should be some longer. perhaps i do something about it!

I don't think you over-did anything - looks fantastic! Love the overall mood, and the texturing is awesome! The final image should look like YOU want it to look - don't worry about people who shout, "but it doesn't even LOOK like [insert app here] rendered it anymore!" Excellent job!
