Description

Let me take you in out of the cold and snow for today's posting. I've always been fascinated by winding stairways. This photo was taken in September 2008 in a stately old mansion in Sag Harbor, New York. The house dates to the 1840s (that's old for us colonials:-)). In its' next life it became a Masonic Hall in the 1890s and today serves as a whaling museum. Thanks for stopping by, Bill Try zooming in for a bit more detail.

A beautiful staircase to be sure! (My local pub - great ale- was built in the 1430's) I'll try and get a snap when its not heaving with folks! Keep on posting these pics mate. Great stuff. Rob.
