What a great idea...shooting a bunch of old, gnarled trees. That's something you can't do except in the dead of winter. I'll bet we could each find different messages in the same tree. This one is tough to translate though :-) Bill

really creative work with lights & darks, and the contrasts with gnarls and tangles & that stark white background! (Though there are gradations in the background, around some of the branches and in the right corner; it has ghosts!). Wonderful light grays on the tree, they feel like moss. The first of the series had an almost Oriental 'peace', this one is bolder & feels more tangled. Complex and fascinating; and you know, you're one of the few who knows how to use whites masterfully. The contrasts here are truly masterful.
