Description

Just a fuchsia from my garden~~before the frost and cold. It got pretty well frostbitten, but it'll be back in the spring. This little bloom just seemed to be dancin inthe wind!!

I like this kind of background in your work, that bold yellow: It makes the flower seem like a portrait. But what struck me after that was its frontality, that it seems to be looking 'into' us. It has a face. (And those stamens underneath look like a bowtie, or maybe a wild necklace.) Strong frontal capture. I realize flowers are one of your specialties, you do them in your own unique way (often with real power). Artists who capture them uniquely are doing a great service, because we have so many 'sweet' flower shots around. Georgia O'Keeffe would be very happy with your flowers, and that's a great compliment. And is that a spider in there? Or a web? Interesting, whatever it is...Another powerful flower from you...
