Description
This one was tricky. I found a waterfall that was quite frozen but could hear the water still flowing beneath it. I daringly scrambled up the side of the fall and found a hole that led down through the ice to the water below. With my camera attached to my tripod and the legs fully extended, (about 6 feet), I lowered the camera down the hole with the timer set to 30 seconds. Gripping the legs of the tripod and holding the system steady against the ice, I took about 10 long exposure shots with a wide angle lens, raising and lowering the system for each shot to set the timer. This was the best one of the bunch.
Captured with Fujifilm Neopan 100 B+W film and a Nikon F5. Classic analog systems fare much better than digital in the biting cold of Canada's winters!
