My Christmas Card to everyone at Renderosity...staff and fellow artists!All the best for the season to you and your loved ones!
The figure is Victoria 3 in Tailgunner gear from Daz3D,posed in DazStudio.The shirt is a freebee from Aery Soul.All outfit textures are Bryce Christmas Ball mats,the jacket and boots are combined with an alligator skin texture as a bump map.The ship and beacon are created from Bryce shapes,rendered in a texture from cgtextures.com and a preset procedural.Terrain is a Bryce preset.Sky is a customized preset.Postwork includes a contrast boost,sig,minor hair details and stars(the ones I added in Bryce didn't show enough!).The holographic snow globe includes a tree from Clay's Bryce Trees from Daz3D,a terrain rendered in a snow preset,spheres rendered in two preset atmospherics and a lattice for the base.Rendered in Normal setting,which took 5.5 hours!Thanks for viewing and previous comments,and Merry Christmas to all!

A different and well done Christmas card render, Neil. The render time paid of very well for you. The mats you have used for her outfit echo the seasonal colors and I especially like the hologram snow globe she is holding. Merry Christmas to you and your's.

Very interesting composition, very balanced, as usual. Her outfit is really cool and I like the reflection of the sky in her jacket. The hologram is well done. Three minor points: There's a very sharp triangle like shadow in her belly. That kind of thing also appears in Vue (it's related with the bump map) and I'd know how to correct it there but I have no idea in Bryce. Her hair seems too doll like, IMO. I have a feeling there should be some small rocks or pebbles spread on the ground. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you a fantastic 2009!
