Description
This one's kind of blurry; but this is my Mom last winter bringing in the clothes. She still uses her ole' Maytag Wringer Washer. When we were kids,(lunchlady, rainastorm & I) used to fill the frozen britches full of other frozen clothes. It was easier to lug in more that way!
We still live simple up here. Our family of 5, in a good year, lived on $2500/yr. No running water, a wood stove & an outhouse; you can see behind Mom. The greatest gift...we all were stronger for it, and we know how to put our "Yankee Ingenuity" to work, even now!!

Too cool! We are apt to run a rope across the rooms in the winter to dry the wash. A dryer is handy when the air turns cold. Frost on the inside of our windows was a common morning back as a child. Great memories here.
