Merry Christmas, Mel! Often times we are moved towards tasks without realizing how we've touched or inspired others. I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know how your image touched me. In recent weeks, I've lost first my home, then my job and lastly my boyfriend of 2-1/2 yrs. At nearly 40, I now find myself with the responsibility of 3 children still at home, being homeless, jobless and leaving all that is familiar to me here on the Gulf Coast in a few days to move to a new state where I know one dear friend who offered to take us in. Sadly, when my friend made her gracious offer, her boyfriend didn't take it so well and has promised not to be around much while the kids and I are there. It's not a situation I'm looking forward to walking into. As a red head who loves the ocean more than any other place on Earth, I must say that your image is particularly, almost frighteningly appropriate as it not only looks like me, but encompasses all that I feel right now as I prepare to say Good Bye and walk into what I'm afraid will be the tempest. On a happier note, I am taking your image to be a sign of sorts. During all of this, I have asked my Creator for a sign that He has not forsaken me as it surely feels He has. Whether He touched you to create this image as solace to me, or whether it is simply a sign from the Cosmos that I am not forgotten I would have you know that you've given me a measure of comfort in these most difficult of times. For that I am grateful and able to take this step with a measure of hope that I didn't have yesterday. Be Blessed, Dawn
