Description

Dancing in the Sun Every thing was so new When I was one & two. It was the world that I would fix when I was only ten & six. Oh, it was so much fun, just to be twenty & one. I find myself without a date, Oh my gosh, I'm only thirty & eight. Well, I'm still looking mighty fine. Not bad for being fifty & nine. I think I'll learn to ski. Wee, I'm only sixty & three. Now I am in the autumn of my years and I have outlived most of my peers. Many of my battles I have won, I now know the best is yet to come. And where will I be when I'm ninety & three? Not really sure, there's still more to do; with this old life I'm just not quite through. When it comes time to go to heaven's gate, you can bet I won't be late. St. Peter will call my name, and ask me why I came. Well Sir, I think my work is done, and most assuredly I've had fun. To heaven's gate I have come, to claim my place in the bright sun. Many a souls I did mend. Many a people called me friend. I did what I could every place I went, and with each person some time I spent. Now it's time for me to retire, and travel to the stars way up higher. These old bones of mine are worn, and my life's mission has been properly borne. It's time to take my place in heaven; you see Sir, I'm one hundred and 'leven. That's what to St. Peter I will say, when it comes to the end of my day. But there is no need to fret, 'cause this old life ain't over yet. There's time yet for a lot more fun, 'cause I haven't finished dancing in the sun. © Gayle O 2008 This is a single flame created in Apo 3D Hack and post worked in PSP. Beautiful image, wonderful poem, and a great attitude! We live in a preview if we have eyes to see, which I think you have. That is what make the heart sing and dance the music of joy. Dance on my friend.

The white see-thru figure makes for a stunningly composed image. Reminds me of those crystal orbs that have delicate art works inside of them. Excellent words and presentation!!

voila Gayle, a beautiful poem & sentiment, and a beautiful image to go with it. Wherever you are in your journey, you remain the eternal child for us & I am grateful to have had glimpses into that glowing soul of yours. (As a near-60 year old, I can relate to your beautiful poem entirely.) Your image is flowing with opulent weaves & curtains, and the reds & turquoise blues are luscious and the dancing figure is perfect, always so nice to see humans dance in your pieces. And of course you give us those wonderful nodes of life, seeds of heart spread throughout your pieces like cities of the soul. (Those paisley 'ganglia' you shower throughout your work: They're just wonderful.) Lord, Gayle It's been such a joy & privilege to come here this year (I only discovered you this fall!) and walk in your wonderful soul-scapes. May the spirit which you've given to us so lovingly & unsparingly shower you with light beyond description. A wonderful holiday to you, Gayle, filled with lots of light. And many many more ahead! With much, much gratitude, mark.
