Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Wow, those are some serious boards and 'snow boarders.' They just have that certain look about them saying, "Come on, I dare you..." Now you get out there and whoop 'em all. Have a wonderful Christmas, Marilyn.

nice to see some of your family (w/ friend)! Also, nice bright & bold blues & whites. The shot shines—a real winter-snow shot. Hope you'll get to see lots of loved ones & friends during the season. (And maybe you'll bring back more decimated feast tables & shots of brie & wine & pianos!) We used to snowboard & ski in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan—which I know isn't exactly "mountain country' as the highest peak is maybe 1000 feet, but still—so I know the feeling of this shot, I know it to the toes: You can smell the air in this picture, you can feel the freshness. Lovely shot for Christmas Eve day...Wonderful holidays to you & yours, our resident dancer! I wish you joy!

I notice how Susie's head is higher than the camera ... by quite a bit! LOL! Are you SURE you're taller than she is?

Stellar capture of the intrepid four, contrasted against a brilliant background of sky and snow. This looks like a photo you previously uploaded a while back.

I have some friends who do this and I wish them all the luck at it. I can't even walk in the snow without ending up on my back-side so this would be folly for me to try. :-)

I love the snow too.....I'm a skier but a lot of my friends are boarder....we call 'em knuckle draggers....HAHA!
