... this is for all the lonely people...
That have to spend Christmas on there own... it's a reminder to you all... to be happy.. with the family and friends you have around you... a reminder... that personalities do not transcend this time of sharing, that egos and arrogance have no part in this season...
I know this year.. I've pissed a few people off.. and maybe... I'm considered arrogant and condescending... I guess that's the way us Kiwis are taken by the rest of the world... or maybe I meant it... but it's Christmas... and for those people that used and abused me, made me their friend only to slap it back in my face... merchants and lovers... then... be at one with yourself... for it seems you have no passion to learn humility, no forgiveness or even the ability to look passed your own egos... for you.. I feel sorry.. but still wish you both a very merry christmas... I've had mine... me and Wilbur.. we had a great day catching up on old movies.
My apologies to the two people that made a difference in my life... that I did not promote for products enough, and that you failed to understand the circumstances.. and now we have to become strangers.
Merry Christmas... have a great, great new year.

Wow. My heart sank when I saw this image !! Despite being married and having friends, Paul and I and Peaches spent Xmas alone as nobody felt like celebrating it. It was to me a terribly lonely day and stirred up all kinds of losses in my past. I did appreciate the lovely time with Paul and Peaches, but I felt oddly sad about having lost so many people to death and moving away and so forth, that I tried very hard to not dwell on that. I am really glad that you wrote what you did about this image. It is all so very true and I am quite touched by it. I am sorry that you have lost two friends and wish you didnt live so far away....you could have spent it with me and Paul. AND Wilbur could have spent it with Peaches who would probably have scratched his eyes out, being a tad territorial. Wuv you my friend. {{{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}}

The camera drawn back and minimizing the subject- brilliant! This creates a perfect scene of desolation and lonlieness. The white background against the characters- perfectly isolating them... It is truly brilliant how this is composed and fits with your description and commentary.

Awww...this was heartbreaking. I haven't really had a good Christmas since my son died---so this time of year always makes me a bit melancholy...but this was a very powerful image. I'm sorry people can't see the inherent beauty of just being your friend...it's tragic and it's definitely their loss...May this year bring you new possibilities and joys. Sometimes we have to empty the cup before it gets filled back up again. And if all else fails---we should go poke at and torment the gigglemonster! (tabala) :D
