Description
Thought I'd post something I rendered to serve as my family's 2008 Christmas card. Memphis Mansion by danamo, Snowy firs from HowieFarke's
wonderful free snow scene from DAZ's Carrara free stuff. Some minor details, smoke and my name, added in an Image editor. I hope you will like it.

Yeah, the thumbnail caught my eye, and pulled me in. It's a classic, and a great start to your gallery. Keep 'em coming. Fill in the rest of the town.

Very imaginative. The original model by danamo, (Victorian Wedding Cake), was in fact based on a photograph from my Renderosity gallery entitled Victorian Village in the Snow, as dynamo so notes in the post. I was impressed with dynamo's original work and equally so here. I see you've rotated the building (the Mallory-Neeley House) some accurately revealing the tower on the right, an important addition that was unfortunately missing/obscured from both my original photograph and therefore dynamo's version. However, you can see it clearly here in this photograph of mine showing the mansion at night, taken from the front right corner. The extended exposure night time shot makes those present (dressed in 1800's attire) appear rather ghostly. A fitting addition. And as in my original photograph, the blanket of snow is a nice although rather rare sight here in Memphis. Your surrounding winter wonderland is a joyous creation, but unfortunately, should you ever get to visit this grand old mansion you'll see a far different neighborhood terrain consisting mostly of urban decay. Oh well. A strong start to your gallery.

Thank you all for the positive comments. I hope to post some original models in my next scene. @Phrankpower-Thank you Marshall for visiting my gallery and leaving your comments. It was a great pleasure to see the original house that Danamo based his model on! I will have to visit your gallery from now on and you are going into my favories!
