Great picture... When I was a child I remember a road trip I went on to see my grandparents, as we passed many pumpjacks along the way I asked my father if they were some kind of mechanical dinosaur eating the grass in the fields (thats kinda what they looked like to me, most being far off in the fields) my dad said "no... but they are sipping on dinosaur juice"...lol if I only knew then what I know now...lol.

Faithful. This pumpjack is on electricity, and all looks well. The polished rod (fat rod that goes up and down into the wellhead) is clean, meaning no oil is spurting out, and that there is fluid at the top of the well - dry packing rubbers haven't left scorched rubber on the rod. There is a small chemical injection pump on this unit: but whether the chemical goes into the well, or down the buried flowline to unseen tanks, is uncertain That's is about all we can tell from this image, but the human pumper will be along to check on, and record, many items.

Drace68; You know your pumpjacks, I work for a manufacturer that makes the sucker rods that go in the wells. With price of oil going down we are slowing down.
