Description

We spent Christmas "farm sitting" for my aunt. She has pregnant goats. We lost 4 of their babies during the week. We woke up Christmas morning to find "Nicky" laying outside the goat barn. We don't know who he belongs to because 2 of the nanny goats respond to him when he cries and both are letting him nurse. We worried over him for 36 hours. He's a fighter and doing just fine now. Here he is with one of his 2 mamas. Me with Nicky: Photobucket

tsk So sweet. Reminds me of a baby goat my next door neighbours had. They're so precious.

Where I borded my horses a long time ago, the rancher had some sheep and one winter was especially cold for a long spell. I remember sitting up with 2 new born lambs in the kitchen with the oven door open to keep us warm through the night. They can be so tender that first week... This is a sweet capture of this little one and her mom... BTW, I was adopted too and ended up with 2 moms. 2 moms can be a good thing. :-)

You have an incredible responsibility, I can understand your worries. Thank God for this little beauty, I wish him well. It is wonderful when you see 2 mothers sharing the offspring, I have seen this with my dogs when I bred, and also more recently my new kitten Freddie used to nurse from two Mums. Thanks for sharing and good luck hugs Jane xx
