Description
This beautiful bird of prey was shot down and will spend the rest of its life in the zoo. When I took the photo it was on the ground eating, because it can no longer fly and catch its own food. I decided to lift it up by replacing the ground with the sky. There were a total of three of these magnificent bird. All are there because someone thought it would be fun to shoot them. At least they will live their lives in peace.

what a wonderful shot you've taken it's a shame when people harm animals. but it's a blessing to have a place to take them where they can live an we can still enjoy them,even if its not in the wild.

Horrible what people will do. We went to Alaska several years ago and these magnificent birds were everywhere. I had never seen one that was not in a zoo. Wonderful picture and I like how you lifted him up towards the sky.

I will never understand how anyone could hurt a poor defenceless bird or animal, whatever goes on in their heads I will never know. They must be born cold hearted and selfish to the extreme - Thank God there sometimes is a place for these poor creatures to spend the rest of their days, being cared for by special people!
