UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

This is very beautiful and such a lovely shot! Love the concept of the generations touching one another.

One to be treasured for sure. They say pictures say a thousand words - this speeks a-plenty. Cheers, Clive

Hand on hand = trust. Wonderful, Bill.

I appreciate that children and animals can be awkward to photograph Bill, as naturally they like to be on the move. This is a creative sharp and detailed shot, and I love the title. hugs Jane xx

This is such a sweet capture bill, and the beauty of being digital is that when that hand reaches the age of the other hand, it'll still be crystal clear.

Very nice shot. Makes me wonder what hands will do. The larger hand will guide the little hand.

so you used your left hand to take the picture?awesome idea and clarity

So very sweet! And yes. Think car keys and college textbooks. I guess it's a fair trade, given all that sweetness they give you when they are little.

Fine clarity and lighting effects in this macro, Bill. Evidently the large hand has been out in the sun a bit longer than the small hand.

so cute.. .how delicate those little hands are and how perfect at the same time and yes they don't stay this way and it's our task to help them grow into helping and caring hands...smile

One VERY special image!.A true treasure. My first thought was one of those 'motivational' posters, with the caption,"when I grow up I want to be just like you.".Thanks for sharing this special moment.

Awesome image! Really puts things in perspective. I have a similar photo I've been wanting to post, perhaps I will soon. :)

Touching shot! No, those hands do not stay that little for very long. My son is 15 and his are larger than mine now. We have a plaster cast of how little his hands once were. They grow so quick!
