BIO
Since many, many years "amateur" painter, oil and watercolours, now photo addict ! When painting with oil "flirting with constructivisme" not really abstract... Time is flying... and I love writing too. Wrote my first book 3 years ago. Would like to pursue writing but.... RR is time-eating and so is hiking. What a dilemma !
About hiking : helas ! not anymore...2010 !

Love the lighting. The arrangement reminds me of something I see in a couple of George Inness' paintings. He would have incredible, inviting landscapes, and then put one thick tree in the foreground, right in the middle of the composition. It makes me want to move to the side, trying to look around it. It almost feels like I can't get 'into' the picture. In your photo, that's almost the way the vase of greens in the foreground feels to me. I love the photo, but I just want to grab that vase and move it to the side, look around it and get into the scene. I don't know if that's good or bad, but at least it's a little feedback from a viewer ;)

Very good job for this low enlighten room shot, not easy at all as you said. I like the idea of the thinker, i did a work on it too.

ohhhh, it's beautiful. Deep reflective light, introspective rusty browns, and a thoughtful capture of a man in a large & mysterious room. This is fine work, Francine. A nice introspective image for the holidays. Happy New Year!

Fantastic light and composition. It could easily be a painting. The whole scene is intriguing and are those real flowers!?
