ta-da!! My very first Poser render. Yes, after 2 years of DS, I've gone to the Dark Side. *grin* Ok, not really - DS is still my first love and will remain so. But I splashed out in December and picked up Poser 7 as a birthday gift to myself (22nd, for all of you who FORGOT to say happy birthday to me!! o the humanity!!!! *laughs*)
My first thoughts on opening Poser...aaaaiiiieeeeee!!! Heh. Talk about confusing. And the way the folders and files are set up - phew. You've got some hair in the hair folder and others in the poses folder. Whew. I'm clicking all over the place to find things! *laughs* I'm starting to get a handle on things tho.
This is a fairly bland test tho. But the render time - OMG *thud* I think I did something somewhere that increased it. I used the Alice shaded mats by AS - the ones with AO. And I think maybe the lights might have had AO also - I'm not too sure - but if they did, then that is what probably increased the render time. I was using Corvas' Soft Lights - lights confuse me in Poser..not sure what I'm doing there. The hair is Wild Hair by digicamilero, bought at RDNA, now here at rendo. I used the add on by momcat that has extra morphs in it.
So I've got a lot to learn about Poser, but it's quite fun, I have to admit. Now all I need is someone to hold my hand and calm me down as I use it. *laughs* Haven't ventured into the Material room as yet - REALLY not sure what I'm doing in there. *grin*
Anyway hope you like it, and that you think it's ok for a first go in Poser. :)

Not bad at all for your first Poser render. The skin came out quite nice. Really like the sheen on her lips. The hair looks great too. Wild Hair is VERY system intensive, so that probably was part of your render issue.
