Genetica and The Gimp. Thanks to all who have viewed, commented,faved,etc. I've been falling behind but will catch up soon. Happy New Year! Like most of my small images, this one started out at 1600x1200. They just seem to reduce themselves.

Catching up, I find this: This has the feeling of a medieval emblem or armament-vest or even a sacred crest (combined with warrior imagery). It feels, to me, of early Middle Ages' vestiture; and your use of rust-red is a fine contrast to the silver-grays. Also I love the modeling of the whole into a rounded platter or medieval tuft (like a throw pillow!) Perfect size for the image: It's powerful but miniature. Fine concentrated work and, for me, a fav.

I've been falling behind on your gallery, and this is what i've missed! I find myself reminded of the ornate crosses from the Eastern Orthodox tradition (especially old Byzantine Empire style) Nice one.
