This is simply too dark to be able to see clearly. You need to lighten it just a tad.

I agree with Wales....the image is too dark to really tell what is happening here....maybe put some more light on the face to make it pop out of the background....from what I can make out of the face, it is well composed and is the main focus of the image....has the makings of a fantastic and scary image!

I think it looks good with the lighting you have chosen. To much lighting would reveal to much and you might lose the atmosphere. The problem of different monitors is one with no easy answer when it comes to doing dark scenes.
